FAQs

  In Short...

Metavue Forum is an experimental extension of Metavue Citation, the free and open collection of student work.   Metavue Forum goes beyond Citation in allowing authors to manage a topic-based soapbox or portfolio of related work and present it on the Worldwide Web.  Open forums allow multiple writers to contribute work around a shared topic or theme, for example "Global Warming" or "Civil Rights".   Features include:

  • Authors can set up and manage their own soapbox or portfolio, posting papers on the Worldwide Web
  • Authors can join communities of writers worldwide in contributing to a forum of interest.
  • Educators can organize groups, classes or larger communities of writers in a collaborative environment.
  • All work is managed and cataloged by the original author, ensuring accuracy.
  • A peer-review process allowing subscribers to rate work they've read.

  •   Attention Educators

Use Metavue Citation and Metavue Forum to support writing projects in your school.   Educational subscribers can enjoy the following features:

  • Ability to flexibly define workgroups, projects and communities of writers based on themes or issues of interest.
  • Ability to collect, track and evaluate student writing online.
  • Support for student portfolios of related project work.
  • Allow students to selectively publish their work on the Worldwide Web.
  • All hosting and technical support are taken care of for you.
  •   Seeking Pilot Sites Now!

During the 2008-2009 school year Metavue is seeking educational partners to pilot Metavue Forum in their schools. Participation is informal and based on the match between your needs and Metavue's needs in refining site functionality. To find out more and discuss the possibility of participating in Metavue's pilot efforts, please contact Michael Rufflo via EMAIL.
